ABOUT US

Kaaribu Local Experiences project aims to package and promote unique cultural experiences offered by local groups in Kwale and Kenya by extension.

This was a result of a notable gap of minimal tourism product development at the local level. Local touristic experience providers could do not have the potential to access the online market for both local and international markets as they are unable to curate, and merchandise local experiences for tourists’ consumption.

They lack the know-how to be in the travel ecosystem and the only way to do this is via middlemen, hotels, and large tour operators.

Kaaribu Experiences seek to bridge this gap by assisting the experiences providers to develop touristic experiences by local providers and give them access to the wider tourist market.

The project received financial support from the Goblue initiative under the tourism and cultural heritage component led by Camoes and its partners.
